I absolutely adore this place for getting breakfast on a lazy weekend! They not only offer a wonderful dine-in experience, but they also have the option to order online and pick up my food just a few minutes later, which is totally my kind of thing. Their breakfast sandwiches are simply fantastic - my sister is a huge fan of them. Personally, I can't get enough of their delightful breakfast bowl. It's a heavenly combination of eggs, your choice of protein, potatoes, and creamy avocado. If you happen to be in the area, I highly recommend giving it a try. You won't be disappointed!
The owners and staff are so nice, and the food is excellent. Our list of excellent dishes so far includes: Diner-style eggs with home fries and bacon Avocado toast The absolute best huevos rancheros Deluxe steel cut oatmeal with bananas, berries, hit milk and brown sugar "Chicken cordon bleu" sandwich -- a properly thin chicken cutlet, grilled ham, melted swiss and fresh spinach with honey mustard on a roll They also have a selection of tres leche and fan through a vendor. Breakfast staples like danishes, muffins and croissants are available but not made on site and not something to get excited about. Finally, if you're feeling both adventurous and nostalgic, namesake drink Moxie is in stock in the drinks cooler. Enjoy!
Kid invites me for breakfast this morning, I just had to go. A great little place for a quick bite to eat and a friendly hello. It's a small town small business restaurant that has amazing food and great customer service. They are always willing to go that extra mile to make sure you are happy. The staff definitely make you feel like you are at home. My French toast was so good with fresh fruit and a hot cup of tea. Kiddo had the Buffalo salad, an odd breakfast, but ok! He said it was good. Just the right amount of buffalo sauce. Highly recommend if ever in East Haven. They are open only till 3. Breakfast and lunch only.
Cozy and casual place with great food and service. I had a breakfast sandwich and my son had a kid's special pancake with fruit and whipped cream. The portions were generous and everything was fresh and delicious. We will be back for breakfast and also to try the lunch specials.
They are the creators of my new favorite breakfast sandwich: the Captain. It has pastrami and egg, onions and just a little spicy sauce but it's soooooo good. My new favorite.
